  • Artichoke bottoms filled with southern vegs

    Artichoke bottoms filled with veggies are a marvel, so healthy and filling, the very best part of an artichoke!

    Artichoke is a fountain of vitamins and minerals and so nourishing, in general, 2 per person are enough as they are so filling…

    They are delicious simply with mayo but I like to serve them filled, either cold with a tuna filling for example or hot and filled with vegs.

    I live in Southern France and over here, you can find them all year round frozen.

  • Baked Sweet Potatoes

    Baked sweet potatoes, a brush of olive oil, a few spices, so easy and delicious

    It is not great cuisine and so easy to make that I have hesitated before writing down this recipe but, after all, I had no idea about it before someone gave me the tip, and we so much like this recipe in my family that I have decided to give it a go.

    I am counting one medium sweet potato per person, personally I can only eat about 3/4 of one

  • Corn Fritters

    Corn fritters, such a delicious side dish!

    This time I made them with canned sweet corn, so they were a bit soft but still really delicious and the good thing is that you could add a few green peas or grated carrots, etc. to these fritters.

  • Green Bean Bundles

    Green beans bundled with bacon, a delicious and original side dish.

    I also like these bundles as a snack, an appetizer, why not?

    Errr…I wouldn’t count on leftovers with these bundles…

  • Herbs Spaetzle Pasta

    Spaetzle, egg pasta bits, delicious and very easy to make.

    Spaetzle are rather served with meats and creamy sauces, but I have read that Germans like to eat them with a schnitzel (a pork Milanese cutlet). I like to serve them in autumn with deer fillets or any cut of game and a red wine sauce.

  • Parsnip and Carrot Puree

    Parsnips and carrots pair wonderfully for this healthy and delicious puree!

    Parsnip is a very interesting root vegetable, it has a mild taste, slightly sweet, it is rich in vitamins and minerals, contains a lot of fibers and is poor in calories.
