Strawberry parfait, a simple and delicious dessert!
Strawberry Parfait is such a quick and delectable dessert, it is a wonderful way to sublimate the strawberry flavor!
It is also a beautiful dessert with its vibrant red and white colors.
Strawberries are sprinkled with sugar and macerated to let them release their water, then they are layered alternately with a soft Chantilly whipped cream, delicious!
14 oz. (400 g.) strawberries, sliced
1/2 cups (120 g.) granulated white sugar
1 tsp lemon juice
1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream, very cold
2 tbsp. granulated white sugar
1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract
A few shaved almonds to decorate
Into a bowl, add the sliced strawberries and the lemon juice, sprinkle with the sugar, stir and macerate for about 1/2 hour
Into the bowl of your stand mixer, or with a hand mixer, add the very cold heavy cream and vanilla extract, start to whip on medium/high speed, once the cream thickens, add the two-tbsp. sugar, whip until soft peaks, keep it soft
Into cups or glasses, add a layer of strawberries with some of their syrup, cover with some whipped cream, add another layer of strawberries and syrup and continue until your glasses are full
Decorate with a few shaved almonds
