Ham and Pink Sauce, port wine sauce, delicious!
Ham and pink sauce is a delicious, quick and economic recipe for weekday dinners and also a way to cook twice your leftover ham.
The ham is just re-heated to lukewarm and is served with this port wine sauce and rice as a side.
You can either buy a few thick slices of ham (about 0.16 inches thick), or you can serve your leftover ham this way.

14 oz. (400 g.) or 4 thick slices of ham
Pink Sauce:
1 tbsp. (15 g.) butter
1 tsp all-purpose flour
1/2 cup Port wine
1 tbsp. tomato paste
1 cup cream
A pinch of Cayenne
Salt and pepper to taste
Into a small saucepan, heat the butter, once it bubbles add the flour, stir, cook for about 2 minutes stirring constantly
Add the Port wine and tomato paste, stir and let thicken, reduce to half
Add the cream, stir and bring to boil, season to taste and set aside
Into a large frying pan or in your microwave oven, heat the ham to lukewarm, pour the pink sauce on it
This dish is generally served with rice
