This classic Chinese lemon chicken recipe is made of crispy bite-sized chicken coated in a sticky and tangy lemon honey sauce, flavorful and delicious!
This Chinese lemon chicken is a staple in our house, we love how crispy it is and the sauce is absolutely delicious and refreshing.

Chicken:
1-pound (450 g.) Chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
Batter:
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp white pepper
1 tbsp. white wine
1 cup corn starch
1 egg
Sauce:
Zest of 1 lemon (outer skin grated)
Juice of 1 lemon
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. rice vinegar
3 tbsp. water
2 tsp honey
1/2 tsp corn starch
Slurry:
1 tsp cornstarch
1 tbsp. water
Other:
A quart of vegetable oil for frying
2 tsp sesame seeds for garnish
Into a bowl, add all the ingredients for the sauce, stir, set aside
Into a wok or high sided frying pan, heat up about two inches of oil
Into a medium bowl, add the chicken and all the ingredients for the batter, toss to coat, once the oil is hot enough, fry the chicken in batches until golden and crispy, set aside on a plate lined with paper towels
Into a pan, add all the ingredients for the sauce, bring to boil, add the slurry, cook one more minute, add the chicken, toss to coat with the sauce and plate, sprinkle some sesame seeds
Serve immediately with some basmati or jasmine rice
